Ordering
How to place an order.
SEWP is built around a quote‑first workflow. These steps apply once the vehicle goes live on 1 November 2026.
Request a quote
Submit your requirement through the SEWP Quote Request Tool, or contact us directly. We respond with a formal quote referencing our SEWP VI contract number.
Satisfy fair opportunity
SEWP is a multiple‑award vehicle, so FAR 16.505 fair opportunity applies. Requesting quotes from multiple contract holders through the SEWP tool satisfies it on the record.
Place the order
Issue the task order against our contract number. The SEWP Program Management Office reviews orders for scope compliance before release.
Delivery and support
We perform, report, and invoice against the order. The SEWP PMO tracks order status and remains available for post‑award assistance throughout performance.
Fees and Payment
What it costs to use the vehicle.
Two numbers govern the money side of a SEWP VI order, and both are set before you ever see an invoice.
- Agency administrative handling fee
- 0.34% maximum of the total order price. This is the fee that funds the SEWP program and it is among the lowest of any federal contract vehicle.
- How the fee is quoted
- Included in the total price we quote, inclusive of handling and travel, and may be rounded to the nearest whole dollar. It is never listed separately on a quote or an order — if you see a separate handling fee line, the quote is wrong and we want to hear about it.
- Invoicing
- We invoice the ordering agency for the entire amount of the order, including the fee, and remit collected fees to NASA quarterly.
- Government purchase card
- Accepted regardless of order size. Our negotiated card acceptance rate is 2.9%.
- Card fees
- Any card processing fee must be quoted up front on the PURCHASECARD‑Z line item. A fee that was not specified on the quote cannot be added afterward, and the Government is not required to cover it. Tell us at quote time if you intend to pay by card.
